The maximum number of characters that can be stored, defaults to 10MB.

Note

• localStorage cannot store 10 entries of 1MB characters each, because the data key also consumes a portion of the character count. Therefore, at most 9 entries of 1MB characters can be written; writing the 10th will fail because it exceeds the maximum number of stored characters.
