Minigame Privacy Compliance Development Guide

1. Feature Introduction

To regulate developers' handling of users' personal information and safeguard users' legitimate rights and interests, the minigame platform provides standardized user privacy protection guidelines. Developers can use the following guidelines to complete the configuration and display of the privacy protection guidelines, as well as the reporting of user authorization results.

2. Process Guide

Step 1 — Self-check: Whether you handle users' personal information

  • Users' personal information refers to various information recorded electronically or by other means that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person, excluding anonymized information — for example, user nickname, avatar, phone number, friend relationships, etc.
  • Handling behaviors: include but are not limited to the collection, storage, use, processing, transmission, provision, disclosure, and deletion of personal information.

Step 2 — Configure the privacy policy: The privacy policy should fully disclose the purpose and methods of handling users' personal information

  • If the self-check finds that no user personal information is handled, there is no need to pay attention to the subsequent steps.
  • If user personal information is handled, you need to configure a privacy policy and complete Steps 3 and 4 according to the process.

Step 3 — Client-side privacy authorization interaction: This interaction is mainly used to display the privacy policy to the user in order to obtain their consent

  • Custom settings: Developers can customize the design of pop-up styles that better match the game's style, including but not limited to tap-button-to-authorize and check-to-authorize modes.

Step 4 — Report user authorization information:

  • The display of custom settings and whether the user consents to the privacy policy must both be handled through normal calls to the user data interface.
