High-Performance Mode

1. Overview

When reviewing apps for listing, the Apple iOS App Store prohibits apps from using third-party JS script interpreters to enable JIT capability; such apps cannot pass the listing review. If an app wants its JS scripts to benefit from JIT during execution, it can only use the WKWebView component provided by the iOS system to run the JS code in order to enjoy the benefits of JIT.

The Runtime is based on the WKWebView component provided by iOS, in order to enjoy the enormous benefits brought by JIT.

2. Just-In-Time Compilation (JIT)

JIT = Just-In-Time Compiler. It is a core technology specifically designed to make scripting languages run extremely fast. At runtime, JIT compiles hot script code into machine code, instantly boosting execution speed by dozens of times.
