First launch and checks
This page checks the PinK application itself. On the first launch, before opening a project, expect an empty workbench rather than tutorial content, a Demo, or assets from another project.
An empty workbench is normal
No project name, assets, Hierarchy, current scene, or build target means that no game is open. These appear after creating or opening a project.
First-launch checks
- Obtain the correct package for your platform from Download and install PinK.
- Start PinK and wait for application initialization to finish.
- Open the menus, activity bar, Command Palette, and settings.
- Confirm that no persistent loading or error message blocks the workbench.
- Close and restart PinK, and confirm that it returns reliably to the empty workbench.
Avoid repeatedly clicking controls during startup. Wait for the status bar to settle, then record any notification or error that remains.
