What is PinK?
PinK is an AI-first editor for COCOS game development. It brings code, assets, scenes, animation, running, debugging, builds, and project-aware Chat into one workspace. Its Agent can use engine and project context to help developers make changes they can inspect and verify.
The current beta is aimed mainly at developers who already know COCOS. It is not yet a tool for producing a complete game from a single sentence. Developers still need to review AI changes and run the project to verify the results.
As the beta evolves, PinK's Agent will gain more knowledge of the engine and the end-to-end development process, moving toward more autonomous game creation.
PinK and COCOS
| Tool | What it provides |
|---|---|
| PinK | A COCOS-aware development workflow and an AI Agent that understands code, assets, scenes, and engine context |
| COCOS | The game engine, component system, lifecycle, runtime APIs, and multiplatform publishing capabilities |
For COCOS nodes, components, and engine APIs, use the official COCOS documentation for your project's version. Return to this guide to learn how to use those concepts with PinK and AI in one workspace.
What can you do with PinK?
- Create a game project or open an existing COCOS project.
- Work with scripts, assets, scenes, problems, output, and build tasks in one interface.
- Ask Chat to explain code, find relevant files, propose changes, and help diagnose errors in the current project.
- Review the files and diffs affected by AI changes before accepting them, then verify the result by running the game.
- Use familiar commands, search, terminals, and compatible extensions for everyday work.
Where should you start?
- New to PinK: Read about the current beta, then follow the getting started path through your first edit and run.
- Working on an existing COCOS project: Open an existing project and check its root directory, engine version, and initialization state.
- Looking for a specific task: Use the guide home page to find the chapter on assets, scenes, scripting, debugging, or building.
- Developing extensions: Start with the standard VS Code extension API, then learn about the public PinK API.
This guide does not document PinK internal source code, Workbench services, or internal APIs. It also does not replace platform-specific instructions for accounts, signing, review, and store submission.
